Priorities App 4.0 is now available for a few weeks, also the Apple Watch is officially landed and already in the hands of thousands of happy customers (including me 🙂 ). This is the perfect moment for me to give you a first look into the current progress of the next big update for Priorities App which I plan to release in May. It will be a massive new version with tons of new features which really put Priorities App on a great new level. Come over here and take a look!
Priorities App is one of my most favorite projects. I love the way Priorities App handles your tasks and priorities and supports you by finding out what you should do next and to see what is really important to you. After finalizing version 4.0, I thought a long time about the next steps and about all the features I would love to see in the next big update. And here we are. The development of version 4.1 is already in progress.
Overall, version 4.1 will optimize all the features you already know and love from it. The UI will be updated and it will be easier to create new priorities. Furthermore, there will be new options to configure the tasks (which were introduced in version 3.0). With version 4.1 you’ll have the possibility to set a deadline, an estimated time as well as an internal priority for any of your tasks. You’ll also be able to define which of those attributes is the most important one; maybe deadlines are the thing you’ll keep your focus on, or its the internal priority. No matter what you prefer, you can configure it appropriately in the app and it will update the order of the tasks displayed in the task overview so that you see with one look which task should be done first.
This is a massive new feature which allows great new workflows besides the default checking of your own priorities.
Also the Apple Watch version will get a big update. It will no longer be limited to your task lists but also presents you your priority lists as well. You’ll be able to check your priorities on your Apple Watch and to see all the new information like the deadline or the estimated time on your smartwatch. Creating new priorities and tasks is also planned for version 4.1.
As you can see, there are a lot of great new features planned for the next big update of Priorities App, and there are many more which I will introduce later in other blog posts. As soon as I have new information, you’ll be the first to know.
Enjoy working with Priorities App and look forward to all the great things that are yet to come!
